What attracts me to abstract art pictures are colors and shapes. I prefer bold, striking colors to more muted ones. I also tend to lean toward geometric abstract artwork; hence, the Homage to Mondrian in my abstract art gallery. I also prefer modern abstract pictures, such as the abstract expressionism and action painting of Jackson Pollock.

It is funny that I like other people's colorful abstract art pictures, when I usually do black and white abstract artwork. Perhaps when I break out into acrylics, I will use more color and smoother shapes in my abstract pictures. I used to do geometric abstract picture drawing in high school. When I was in college, I used one of them to make a mural in my dorm at Cornell.

Supplies used to produce these abstract art pictures include Col-Erase Colored Pencils, Strathmore 300 Series Watercolor Paper, Pelikan Opaque Watercolor Sets, Fredrix Canvas Boards, and ordinary acrylic latex and oil-based house paint. I used a Canon LiDE 30 scanner to scan the paintings.
